Naci is a good place to live. It has different features and condition. People are God- fearing and the land is suitable to all kinds of crops or plants because of its fertile soil.
The name “NACI” was derived from the four (4) famous Provinces of Panay, namely; Negros, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo. On year 1950 to 1963, Naci was a part of Municipality of Banga, it was separated from its mother town when Municipality of Surallah was established in 1963.
On year 1947, there were only few inhabitants of B’laan and Muslim tribe in this place. During the Settlement Administration, Gen. Paulino Santos delegated Rev. Zachariac Candole as heman of the 24 settlers, namely: Norberto Osanastre, Vicente Bu-ot Sr., Emeliano Ramping, Rufino Prudencio, Maximo Orbasayan, Emeli Ramping, Bonifacio Calibayan, Jesus Facinabao, Alejandro Haguisan, Melanio Joven, Amelio Candido, Dioscoro Fabulari, Apolonio Faba, Igmedio Farofaldane, Teodorico Gallego Sr., Jose Facinabao, Rosendo Mandeoya, Rufino Araquel, Rufe Carillo, Juan Cerado, Teodoro Doce, Leopoldo Pacinabao Sr. and Juan dela Rosa.
Brgy. Naci is located in the eastern part of the Municipality of Surallah, which bound the community from north Brgy. San Jose, South Brgy. Tubi- allah, East Brgy. Lambontong and West Brgy. Centrala. The brgy. is composed of five (5) Puroks and six (6) Sitios namely; Purok Aquino, Mabini, Magsaysay, Quezon and Rizal and; Sitio Sipale, Cabuling, Aliwanaty, Landamay, Sawmill, MontaƱo.
The means for public transportation are tricycle and motorcycle (skylab). It has a distance of 6.3 kilometers from the Municipality of Surallah and have a total land use area of 1, 408 hectares, 1048 allocated to upland, 290 hectares to lowland, 4 hectares for school site and 24 ¾ hectares for residential lot. The barangay has a river which is the Sipale river and the land has a plain description of surface features. The 1999 BNS survey, Naci had a total population of 3, 833, 1, 875 males, 1, 958 femanles and 748 total households.
Naci is basically an agricultural land, wherein soil type is loam, sandy loam and clay loam. The major crops are corn, rice, banana, pineapple, sugarcane, coconut and vegetables. Land holding tenure indicates 80% owner/ cultivators, 8% lease holding, and 12% tenants. Most farmers rely on mono cropping and very few exercise diversified.
The Naci Elem School offers teaching from kinder 1 to grade 6 and the school has complete facilities for the pupils. There are non-government organizations in the brgy who affiliated in the barangay government which was organized by the people’s organizations and NGOs and there are 3 existing cooperatives in the barangay.
The infrastructures and facilities constructed in the barangay shows the progress and development for the structure designs and implemented by the terms of the barangay officials.
